Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one go without the need to switch devices. They can also save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean, complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a range of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You could, for instance, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are superb and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only minor issue is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks need to be done including emptying the debris tray, and rinsing its dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing recharging or returning to the base. You can view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood, though we would like to be able distinguish between a vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's most popular robot mop and vacuum. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power which allows it to pull up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by having a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they are a wall or another surface. robot vacuum cleaner best will then automatically alter its path and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles as a child lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.

The only negative I discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount itself for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these advanced features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with cutting-edge features, high suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its intelligent design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best alternatives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry messes. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet in operation with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another standout feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture such as table and chair legs. The robot can also reach under furniture with low profile which makes it a great option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice touch that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by excessive back-and-forth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and intuitive The X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps, and control mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it is finished.
best robot hoover is easy to clean and has many convenient features, making it a perfect choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads, then refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It can also detect when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive models available and comes with numerous additional features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mops, uses two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.
The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature because it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a system we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a great method to keep your home clean for longer.
There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or there are buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options to customize the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of functions that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white design that looks classy and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing, but it's still not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
